A330 is two advanced two-aisle wide-body passenger aircraft jointly developed by Airbus Europe and A340. In addition to the number of engines and engine-related systems, 85% of the parts of the two models can be used in common with each other, using the same fuselage, only slightly different in length. Due to the advanced wings, high-efficiency engines and a large number of composite materials, the economy of A330 aircraft has been greatly improved, and the direct operating cost of each aircraft is 34%, 4% and 9% lower than that of DC-10-30, Boeing 747-400 and Boeing 767-400 respectively. In April 1987, Airbus Industrial Company decided to launch the A330 and A340 at the same time. The A330 made its first flight on November 2, 1992, and began to be put into use in October 1993.
The main types of A330 are: A330-300, equipped with two 300.3 dry cow CF6-80E1A2 or PW4164/4168 or Trent turbofan engines, with a passenger capacity of 375 (standard) or 440 (optional), and its long-range type can carry 335 passengers.
